Well POG, i guess you are out of words. Not so smart after all! And guess what, i just checked out your TAG and by the look of it i have played more on the x360 than you. And you don`t even own own a ps3. Next time when you try to deffend the x360 please state why the x360 is better cos i play on it every day and i van`t see why.
So does the ps2 my friend, but this consoles are last gen, so lets try and leave them behind, and concentrate at this gen battle. If psp or ds sells more than the x360 or ps3 it doesn`t bring them into this battle.
So my friend i suggest you leave the last gen, so JUMP IN and PLAY BEYOND.
LOL. I wonder what the price for the ps2 would be now if it had this kind of competition. I wonder if it was here today with such stiff competiton. PS3 will win this gen no doubt but but it wont go for 10 years like this. Competition means faster advance in technology, so Sony will have to keep the step up with MS if they decide to release a new console.
POG, i got a few questions for you. I`ve been reading your posts (like everybody else) and i can see you are inteligent to some degree(no stupid comments, like the ps3 is doomed, or is crap or anything that other blind fanboys might say), but you heavily support the x360. Here are my queations

Do you want him to prove to you that RROD exists? He never said anything that was too hard to believe. He was actualy pointing out some interesting stuff. I myself bought a x360 in october last year with the manufacturing year being 2006. I`m not a teh freak and i don`t know wether is a xenon or falcon, but i know when it`ll brake i`ll buy a new one. I can`t be bothered with all that warranty bs. The thing is only £180. But i still hate MS for skrewing up like that.
I know 3 friends who had rrod, and i experienced it myself twice. Rrod is the reason why i bought a ps3. Thank you rrod. I know Uncharted is brilliant, and so is HS, but thats all that appeals to me so far for the ps3, and those 2 games are not worth £480. But with the line up for the ps3 i don`t regret buying one, and i have to say, the ps3 is much better than the media made me believe.

Very unbiased. You are a rare specimen on this site. I own both consoles but i preffere the ps3 due to many reasons:
1. Most important is the hardware. I don`t care about the warranty.
2. Games like Bioshock, halo, gofw don`t appeal to me. I just can`t stand all that monster sci-fi shooting stuff.
3. I`m more of a single player so live is not as important to me.
However, the x360 is fun to play on some games and the controler is uber ergonomic and the achievment...

If this is true than MS will follow as well but a price drop will have more effect on the ps3 than the 360. But i doubt this will happen before fall but lets hope it does, is best for all of us consumers.
Sony was always losing money on the ps3, but now they are losing less with the ps3 cheaper to manufacture, and with sony`s smell of victory in Blu department, i believe they can afford to lose more money and i think they will take the risk. If they manage to keep the momentum going the ps3 will bring proffits in the future.
For now sony is forced to increase ps3 userbase and a price cut is the first logical step followed by all the exclusives lined up.
The ps3 has some advantages over the x360, and that can means it can only do the same if not better than the x360. The brand alone will keep the ps3 well in competition. The ps3 is not doomed and it will never be, like some people would like to think.
Anyway the x360 did put more of a fight than Sony would`ve thought, and hopefuly taught them a lesson, not to underestimate the competition.

How can i forget about RROD when the memory of my last rrod is only 2 months old.
I bought my ps3 in the same day when Uncharted came out. I went home and of course first thing i did was put the game on. Five friends arround me all waiting to see the astonishing gfx of Uncharted and the ps3. The first cut scene comes on and.... disaster. Everyone, including me, went IS THAT IT. Everyone started mocking me for paying £360 for that. I went mad.
The next day, fiddling about with the ps3 menu, checking the options, i come across an option called RGB, turned that on...
I`m fed up of all this bias bs. I got both consoles so i will enjoy the best games of 08, but there`s no denying that ps3 line up for 08 is way too impressive, when the x360 line up is worst than 07 line up.
The article talks NA only. NA alone wont make much of a difference from a dev point of view, when the x360 is almost dead everywhere else and ps3 is outselling x360 ww. On top of that the ps3 is showing increase in sales whille the x360 will most likely remain constant as there are no huge games to attract the masses like the ps3 does. I`ve been playing the 360 since launch and i bought a ps3 2 months ago. Of course i used to support the 360 but it let me down so many times, there was so many problems with it i given up. True the ps3 has no games and i still play the 360 more, but the way the ps3 runs plus all the extras has won my heart. The x360s reliabilty made made me change my mind. And fu*k the waranty, i want the thing to work period.
Now i cosider the x360 a time killer untill the real games come out.
Common people, it`s Jan, the gaming industry is dead, so don`t expect too many gaming news. Typo or not, it makes you wonder what if?? Nah, the damage to MS will be too big, they`ll never let that happen.
